The recent IHEEP2024 conference, organized by the [Highway Engineering Exchange Program (HEEP)](https://www.linkedin.com/company/highway-engineering-exchange-program/)  

erved as an exceptional platform for connecting industry leaders, asset owners, and engineers, all united by a shared vision of reshaping the future of transportation.

[Jagannath Mallela](https://www.linkedin.com/in/jagannath-mallela-25b6296/), Senior Vice President at [WSP in the U.S.](https://www.linkedin.com/company/wspusa/), and [Ratnakar Garikipati](https://www.linkedin.com/in/ratnakargarikipati/), Chair and CEO of LeapThought Group, delivered a session titled “From Fragmented Data to Enterprise-Scale Intelligence: The Intelligent Connected Data Environment (ICDE) Revolution,” which sparked insightful discussions about the transformative power of ICDEs.

The session highlighted how U.S. departments of transportation can advance by integrating intelligence into the data they already collect—preparing for future use cases while building a comprehensive digital footprint to meet today’s needs. Global case studies from forward-thinking transportation agencies demonstrated how these solutions are already being implemented.
